Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), a natural alternative to traditional methods

What is Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy?

Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is the use of supplemental doses of hormones that have a chemical structure identical to the hormones that the human body naturally produces. Dr. Farah Sultan offers this rejuvenating therapy for women and men of all ethnicities!

Vitalogy Wellness & Medical Spa is now offering both, transdermal creams and patches as well as pellet insertion to men and women suffering from hormonal imbalance

Transdermal Creams and Patches as an option for Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy

Transdermal creams and patches are used to balance the body’s naturally occurring hormones. When estrogen is taken in pill form, it’s first processed through the liver. This stimulates proteins associated with heart disease and stroke, such as C-reactive protein, activated protein C, and clotting factors. Depending on your specific needs, a combination of progesterone, estrogen and testosterone are used to restore hormone levels in order to optimize the quality of life while aging.

How does Dr. Sultan determine what supplements and hormones are needed?

Through an in depth consultation with each patient and a simple in office blood draw it is determined what supplements and hormones and life style changes are needed to get you on the way to feeling your best. The goal is to help patients to live a more active, optimized, and healthier life.

Dr. Farah Sultan offers Hormone Pellets to correct Hormonal Imbalance in men and women

What is a Hormone Pellet?

A hormone pellet is a small pellet about the size of a grain of rice. These pellets contain bioidentical hormones found naturally in plant material. Bioidentical hormones are hormones in the exact same form that you’d find them in your body.

Pellet Insertion

Pellets are inserted in the hip and deliver consistent, healthy levels of hormones for 3-5 months in women and 4-6 months in men. They avoid the fluctuations, or ups and downs, of hormone levels seen with every other method of delivery. Patients are required to schedule a wellness consult prior to pellet insertion. Lab work also has to be completed prior to pellet insertion. Request your consultation with Dr. Farah Sultan for more information about Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT).
